Many beginners trying cloisonne painting for the first time may notice that some areas of color mix together, making the artwork look messy. How can this be resolved?
Here are a few suggestions to help ensure the best results:
-
Check Gold Wire Connections: After placing the gold wire, make sure all connections are tight and seamless. Also, ensure that the wire is fully bonded to the base to prevent gaps that could allow colored sand to spill into other areas.
-
Clean the Colored Sand Thoroughly: When washing the colored sand, remove any floating impurities to prevent them from mixing with other colors during application.
-
Apply Sand Sparingly: When applying the colored sand, avoid layering it too thickly. If it's too thick, it might flow into other areas when you spray water to smooth it out or fix it with sand-fixing glue or laminating glue.
-
Spray from a Distance: When spraying water to smooth the surface or applying glue to fix the sand, hold the spray bottle at a distance to prevent the mist from blowing the sand out of place and mix with our colors.
-
Correct Mixed Colors: If you notice any mixed colors, use a dropper to carefully remove the excess, then reapply the correct color.
Hope these tips are helpful to you!
